Visual information and its analysis were key tools for all ninjas. Their ability to observe, see and evaluate hidden details in different situations and events gave them an advantage when performing extreme tasks. Take part in our course and learn the power of data visualization. In addition to the key principles of data analytics, you will learn and understand the nature and origin of visual information; you will be able to work with colour combinations in graphs and diagrams to make them more understandable, provide new information and context and turn data into storytelling. In this unique course you will also learn how to work with software tools for data visualizations, and finally be able to discover specific trends and phenomena that are happening around us.

How you will be trained? Firstly, you will compare the visibility of certain information in datasets, subsequently in visualized forms, and you will learn how this kind of information has played a key role in many historical events. The next section discusses the principles of creating visual information and eliminating inappropriate elements, styles, and colour combinations. Furthermore, you will try to link demonstration datasets and discover the context between them. In the last part you will prepare your own data story.

This course is unique in concept. It emphasises the ability to acquire information in a completely different form than textual. Finally, you will be able to analyse data that would not reveal anything in its original raw form.

Visual information and its business use

How the first ways of rendering information came about is important for understanding its communication power. You will learn about forms of visual information, including how to assess their suitability, on the basis of which you will be able to adapt their use in your future work (and other) activities.

We visualize!

How to create visual information correctly based on your data so that it meets the criteria for correct colour, colour density, optimal chart type, form and clarity.

Visualization tools

You will get an overview of the available tools to help you deal with complex data sets, while getting hands-on experience with selected tools and solving practical tasks.

Data storytelling

The highlight of the day will be data storytelling, teaching you how to tell stories through your visualizations. Inaccessible data will not be an obstacle, but rather a challenge to discover virtually invisible context.

Practical training is the most important aspect of this course too and test data sets will be waiting for you to explore. The possibilities of data visualization are amazing and you will want to analyse even seemingly impossible connections.
